We were fortunate to step into a Today Homes show home in Rolleston/Springston Drive in Nov '24, where we met Todd Anderson—and what an experience it was. Todd was fantastic, taking the time to showcase the quality of the build and guide us through the Today Homes process (we had built before in the Waikato). We certainly threw a few curveballs at Todd and the Today Homes team from a design perspective, and they delivered every single time. Our experience became even better once the build was handed over to our Project Manager, Mike Sanders. Mike expertly managed our expectations, the build, the timeline, and everything in between. With Hamish as our builder, the final outcome was outstanding. The quality of workmanship, the handover by Mike Barron, the clear and consistent communication from Rebecca, Abbey, and Michelle, and the support from Brendon in accounts made the entire journey seamless. We can confidently recommend Today Homes across every aspect of their business. They are a great home‑building company with an outstanding team who truly delivered everything we asked for. I run out of words when describing the experience with Today homes. From our initial meeting with Alex our sales consultant, to the communication with Nathan our project manager and Abby & Rebecca the update Gurus, Today homes has been amazing. The communication was so top tier and made us feel at ease. All timelines were clearly communicated and any changes explained and detailed. It was a very stress free experience. Our new home looks and feels phenomenal. We cant wait to make many memories in this home. Thank you all for your care and absolutely great work. The whole build was well organised and communication was clear throughout. Our contract manager, Mike, was excellent to deal with. He was professional, helpful, and always willing to answer our questions, which made the process much less stressful for us. We’ve just had our new home completed and we couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From start to finish, communication was excellent. We were always kept informed, our questions were answered quickly, and we felt supported every step of the way. One of the things we appreciated most was having the opportunity to choose so many of the details ourselves. Being able to personalise finishes, colours and features really allowed us to make the house feel like our home. We never felt rushed or pushed — we felt involved. The build quality is fantastic and the finished result has exceeded our expectations. Building can be stressful, but the team made the process smooth and exciting. Last year, I built my very first home through Today Homes, and overall it has been a very positive experience. My build manager, Michael, listened carefully to my requirements and reflected them well throughout the build. While I was overseas in my home country for an extended period, the Today Homes team sent me weekly email updates on the construction progress, which made the whole process feel very reliable and stress-free. I have been living in the new house for just over two months now. Recently, while visiting Auckland, I stayed at my sister’s place and noticed that the finishing quality there was quite poor. In comparison, the final finishing of my home built by Today Homes is very clean and well done, which made me appreciate my own home even more. There is just one small point I felt slightly disappointed about. I was originally looking to install an HRV system, and as Today Homes uses the Mitsubishi Lossnay system, I chose Lossnay assuming that it naturally included the heat recovery function found in HRV systems. However, after moving in, I realised that the installed model provides ventilation only and does not include heat recovery. I later learned that there are higher-end Lossnay models that do offer heat recovery, and I feel it would have been helpful if this difference had been explained more clearly and if an upgraded option had been presented. That said, the current Lossnay system operates very quietly (although it seems to run quite gently), and overall I do not regret installing it. Overall, building my first home with Today Homes was a very good decision. If I decide to build a larger home in the future, I would happily choose the Today Homes team again. I would confidently recommend Today Homes to others.
